This Squier has the same double-cutaway style that Fender made famous in the ’50s. The thin, lightweight poplar body is comfortable no matter how you play—standing with a strap or sitting with the Strat in your lap. The neck has a slim C profile for playing ease. Sonically versatile, the HSS comes with two single-coil pickups and a humbucker. This configuration lets the Squier soar in all genres of music.

The Strat HSS pack comes with a Fender Frontman 15G combo amp. It has 15 watts of power, perfect for practice sessions and garage jams. The Frontman features two channels—normal and drive. All of the hardware on the Squier Affinity Strat HSS has been revamped. The tremolo unit mounts to the body in two points, rather than the traditional six. This creates less friction for more tuning stability. Thanks to the split-shaft tuners, it's a cinch to change strings—just thread each through the body of the guitar, insert the loose end into the tuners and turn to tighten.
