Squier

collapse expand iconDescription

The Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar Pack with Fender Frontman 15G amp delivers the iconic Stratocaster design and sound that has fueled musical revolutions for over 60 years. This package provides an affordable entry point into the Fender family, with a Stratocaster featuring a lightweight poplar body, slim and comfortable C-shaped neck, and a trio of pickups—a Squier humbucking bridge pickup and two single-coil Strat pickups—for a range of punchy rock and snappy blues tones. Paired with a 15-watt Frontman amp offering clean and overdrive channels, this is a comprehensive setup for beginners and developing guitarists ready to forge their own musical identity.

Versatile Tone Shaping From a Tried-and-True Pickup Combination

The Stratocaster's three pickups are positioned to provide distinctive tones, from bright and cutting to warm and growling. The bridge humbucker delivers meaty rock crunch, while the single-coil neck and middle pickups produce the crystalline "quack" that has defined pop and blues leads for generations. A five-way pickup selector switch offers endless combinations to suit any genre or mood.

Iconic Style and Playability

With its iconic double cutaways, the Stratocaster's contoured body provides easy access to all 22 frets for ambitious solos. The C-shaped neck has a slim, fast-playing profile, while the 2-point tremolo bridge enables expressive vibrato effects. Sealed die-cast tuning machines provide solid tuning stability, allowing for quick and accurate restringing. Combined with a padded gig bag, strap, cable, picks and a 3-month Fender Play subscription, this pack comes fully loaded with all the essentials for practice and performance.

Pure Fender Tone in a Portable Package

The included Frontman 15G amp delivers 15 watts of power through an 8" speaker, with overdrive and volume controls to achieve a range of distorted and clean tones. Its AUX input allows playing along with prerecorded music, while a headphone jack enables silent practice. Compact and lightweight, this amp provides classic Fender tone that can be enjoyed anywhere.

Nice starter kit

I got a starter pack back when I was about 19 and gave up learning. My bad.. Now at 44 decided to try again. With so many online videos it makes it a bit easier, not a whole lot but work in progress. The guitar sounds great for being a basic guitar. Someday when I'm better I'll upgrade to something better with a better amp etc. My kid, 12 years of age who plays violin plays it more than I do. She already memorized a few songs like Zombie and Smells like teen spirit. Me, I need to look at the tabs and pluck one at a time while she just does it naturally. Bummer for me but I'm proud of her progress. She's now working on speed and strumming. So far we are both having lots of fun with this kit.

decent for price, but not ideal.

the guitar i had wouldn't stay in tune for long at all and the action was rather high. when changing the strings the bridge would always be a pain to deal with consider your options but again for the budget it isnt horrible

Overall this is a pretty good set especially for the price. My only quarrels with it is that the amp doesn't have as many options as I would like which is to be expected from such a cheap amp and the pick guard had a minor scratch out of the box. #sweepstakes

Ordered this Fender for my 10 year old son, who is also taking hour lessons at the local guitar center. I ordered a new one and they sent me a used model with scratches all over it and the amp turns on but does not produce any sound- tried several different cords and none them work.

I bought this Guitar as I recently got back into playing. I played in my teens and recently have been playing my acoustic, but I wanted another Electric. For being a package deal, the guitar plays remarkably well right out of the box. #sweepstakes

so i returned the amp in this pack to get it fixed and they werent able to fix it. they gave me a gift card for a new one but its around the same balance as the package. does this mean i have to give the guitar back aswell? or do u get to keep the guitar, because the guitar has no problems at all and has some stickers on it so itd kinda suck to have to give it all back.

That would depend on how it's played. How long does a guitar stay in tune for is not a product specification.

The stand alone can be either or "other" as Fender states. There no discernable difference.

I think my previous question may have been confusing, I'm not asking about the fretboard. I mean could I get this exact charcoal frost metallic hss squier strat, brand new, without having to buy the entire pack? Is it possible to buy just the guitar, and nothing else? Thanks!

Yes. The Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster FMT HSS is the guitar in the pack. I'm saying the guitar is the same, the fretboard is not. The guitar in the pack has a rosewood fretboard. The stand alone guitar does not.
