I'm a sucker for red metallic guitars with maple necks so I bought it with much hesitation. I had the GC repair guy review the setup, once approved I took it home. I really like the way it feels when playing, light, great fret action and it stays in tune for long periods of time. I play professionally and this is my workhorse guitar. My American made Stratocaster sits on stage as my backup!

  • Great sounding guitar

For a squier fender, the guitar sounds beautiful. It was great sounding out of the box. This will make a great stage guitar and plugged into my fender amp it sounds great. It looks better than the picture, but was bigger than I expected.

  • I wouldn't buy this product again.

It has a rich sound and very good tone range. play well with clean neck action, low and high register producing Chrisp tones, Finder Affinity will not fit in a standard flat rectangle case.so beware of that

  • I love this guitar!

I bought the candy apple color. It's beautiful, look at it! I also own aTelecaster, aStratocaster a Gibson Firebird and an SG so let's keep it real. In terms of tone, it falls a little short. It does feel great to hold however as it just comfortably rests on one leg while I play. I am personally quite fond of the headstock and for a Squier it's impressive looks wise. I bought it because for one thing I collect guitars as well as play. Honestly, I will definitely do a pickup upgrade. Doing modifications on a hollowbody though isn't the part I look forward to. It has to be done thoigh because to me, something just sounds "off," a little on the "tinny" side and control of this otherwise little beauty is limited to just a single master volume and master tone control WHICH I like for it's simplicity. But the pickups have to go as far as I'm concerned. They're cheap and a little crummy sounding I believe to more experienced ears, trust me. But for aesthetics, Fender did a great job and didn't charge a premium for the paint, the nut (which isn't cheap plastic as well as the stop bar and bridge that don't appear to be the cheapest to be found WHICH IS THE CASE for other guitars I have seen and own yhat begged for replacement of a higher standard however slight or otherwise and I'm just not the lind of guy who can say no to a beautiful musical instrument begging like that AND SO IT WAS DONE. And so the pickups on mine will be swapped out, even though the gauge of the wiring is more impressive than others I have worked with wdighing in a for a few hundred dollars more. So experienced players, get ready for it and you can lower the nose you may have turned up at this for being a lowly Squier. Newer players, if you stick with it, you'll catch up. Me? I love this thing even though there's room for improvement tone wisd to me. Keep in mind what I said at the start, the benchmark of comparison is in addition to Telecasters and Strats, a Gibson Firebird and an SG. So I am no stranger to better sounding guitars off the rack. Great buy though, definitely.

Thanks for answering my previous question about the controls. It leads to another question, though. The description mentions having volume 1/2 and tone 1/2 controls but there are only two actual controls. How does this work? It's a beautiful guitar and I want one BAD but I have to do the due diligence.

We're currently working to get this updated. The details were incorrect, there is only 1 tone and 1 volume.
