Great guitar!

If you're looking for a starter electric for your kid this is it!! Never mind the fact that it looks like a Strat and they get the feel cool, 😎 this thing plays like a fender! The action is so easy on the strings, especially for a little one, my kids seven. Yes traditionally you want to start your kid with an acoustic guitar but, this is the way to go if you're checking out those off brands, that might entice you with a practice amp that's not worth your money. I'm a drummer so if you're looking for a professional guitarist review you're not getting it, but I played the course to "every Rose has its Thorn" with no problem.

Really Dissappointed :(

Ordered this in June,it arrived for pickup at my local guitar center around 5 days after. I was excited to play it, but I noticed that no sound was coming out of my amp when this was plugged in. I switched the amp, the cord, but it turns out the amp jack on the guitar was busted. I even tightened that, but it still wouldn't put any sound out. I was really bummed because its so cute and I loved the way it would sound on the amp when you put pressure on the cord and bent it a specific way while it was plugged in (it was the only way it would actually work sadly) but I had to end up going back to guitar center and return it. The staff member I had was really nice about it, we tried to get the full sized bullet but I was told the pink shell was on backorder, so I ended up leaving with a surf green mustang that was on the floor. I like the mustang for what it is, but I would've much prefered a guitar with bright pickups instead of the lower humbuckers I ended up with. This is my first guitar purchase, but I'll definitely make sure to beware of squier when I look to buy my next one. Just keep in mind the product might not even work at all. Really sad. At the very least the staff at my location were amazing to me, and im really grateful for them.

    Of course it's not a Fender Strat and it requires some setup to get it in shape to play. But for what you pay, this is a fun little guitar for a kid to learn on. Surprisingly good sound and versatility packed into this guitar. Easy on little hands and fingers so a kid will find it easy to learn on.

    Only thing i find difficult is that it's in tune but pull on the strings a bit hard and it messes up the tuning but can be fixed really quick, doesn't happen frequently so no problem, it has a bit of a fret buzz but not too bad for what i paid for

    How big is a mini

    It's not all that mini. A standard Fender has a 25.5" scale. Th]is has a Scale length: 22.75" scale.

    This guitar would be a good choice for an Indie sound. It is a matter of personal preference but a delay, chorus or reverb pedal would be a good choice.
