Description

The Spector NS Pulse 4-string electric bass guitar features their iconic curved body design and a selection of upscale features, including a quilted maple top with a swamp ash body and a roasted maple neck with a Macassar ebony fingerboard. The deep stain colors and matte finish provide a durable, yet refined look and the three-dimensionally carved body delivers a reliably comfortable playing experience for all bassists. The roasting process of the maple results in a neck with enhanced stability and resonance, while the Macassar ebony fingerboard ensures clear note definition and projection.

The NS Pulse is also equipped with EMG active pickups and the Spector TonePump Jr. active preamp—a combination that yields a range of impressive and aggressive noise-free tones. Additional appointments include a locking bridge, illuminating side dots and a custom 12th fret inlay.

    I finally managed to find a new NS Pulse 4 since they are getting hard to find. Initially I wanted the black color but red was the only option at this time. Boy am I glad I got it: it looks gorgeous in red. Right out of the box it was set up perfectly. The only thing I had to do was tune every peg half a step to bring it in tune. Fit and finish are flawless. It weighs 7.5 lbs making it easy on my back. And the tone is amazing. Lows are not boomy and mids and highs are crisp and articulate. The bridge pickup is free of hum when soloed. The neck is a dream to play. I have five other basses including a US Fender professional p bass and the quality and tone of this one beats them all.
