Features Drummers Love
Drummers will absolutely love the many adjustment options and customization of the Velocity double pedal. It harnesses a sturdy-built, double-chain drive for a reinforced attack and hearty stabilizer plates on both the main and accessory pedals. The rounded cam (the rotating metal piece that transfers player’s energetic stomps from the footboard, through the chain or strap to the mallet that causes it to plunge forward into the bass drum beater head) produces a fluid and natural sensation. The footboard and beater angle are also adjustable. Drummers prefer varying degrees for the mallet head when it encounters the drumhead, and the easy-to-adjust feature of SPL’s Velocity double bass will surely be appreciated for drummers needing to make quick, mid-show tweaks.
Drummer Tested and Approved Precision
The black-brushed metal footboard was custom engineered for quick action making playing easier than ever. Slide capabilities are unlimited because you can rely on this bass drum pedal to rebound with consistency and maximum precision. The adjustable side springs can alter the mallet’s throw-force, depending on how tightly or loosely wound. The springs are simple and easy to adjust, so drummers have the ability make quick changes, even in between songs during a live set. The toe clamp is built extra sturdy for a maximum grip on the bass drum, enabling the drummer to focus on what is most important: rocking out with confidence.

decent budget option that works

Decent build, made better w/ mechanical adjustments, like shortening tension springs, adjust balance, etc. Big issues I notice is when attached to the hoop, the hoop clamp is off center, and causes pedal heel to be raised up/tilted, used spacers to fix.
Pleasantly surprised!

I really enjoy this pedal. After using iron cobras and low cost single chain pedals, this pedal is a class above the entry level double bass pedals I've used in the past. I expected entry level budget quality and ended up what's probably the best performing kick I've been able to own.
Good pedals!

I've owned these for right at a year now. Within the first, maybe three months, the right beater started to come loose. There wasn't a way to repair it. I was worried. I contacted spl and they shipped a replacement that day! I use that set still, now with zero issues.

For the money and with a little manipulation can be a viable pedal. Full disclosure, I use this pedal on an electronic kit to trigger VST drums for studio production so my needs are different than some.
Now I can pound that bass drum twice as much as before.

Each foot works just the same on that drum. Each side is adjustable, but I like it just as it arrived. This has good quality, I recommend it to anyone, professional or beginner.
i would by this again.

Can this be used on electric drumset
The ability to use a double pedal on e-drums has nothing to do with the pedal. If you can fit two pedals so they hit the trigger as close to center as possible it'll work. If not centered properly it won't trigger The issue is how wide is your kick pad. Take a look at the pad on the Roland V-Drums TD-1DMK as an example.submitted2 years ago
