Great value for the on the road drummer.

These stands are light in weight but big on performance. They can hold up to the wear and tear of a traveling drummer. Good foot print for stability and easy set up and tear down. I see a bunch of drummers using these from beginners to seasoned professionals, so i thought I would give them a try. I will purchase these again if I add any more cymbals to the kit. Who am I kidding, I'll be buying more.

Just okay.........there are better stands out there

This is a typical, run of the mill boom stand. It has heavy, double braced legs, sturdy feet and is decently heavy. The boom arm is average length. The tubing is decently thick, however it is only a two section stand, so even with the boom extended all the way, the stand doesn't go all that high. Plus, the base/tripod section is longer than normal, which makes it less compact and is longer to carry than a three section stand. The downfall of this stand is the VERY chincy cymbal tilter. It is on a tiny little post and is only 6mm in threading (standard on modern stands is 8mm). Plus the threaded part of the tiliter where the cymbal and sleeve/felts actually rest is very short. Even average thickness felts won't fit on this really short tilter. This small, delicate tilter is just begging to be broken when carrying it with other stands, or it tips over etc. That tilter will snap off easily. I wouldn't trust it. It's almost like they took a modern, fairly heavy boom stand of today and paried it with a tilter from a stand made in the 1950's. I would spend a little more and get a three section stand with a quality, 8mm tiltier.

I did not have high expectations. I was looking for a simple spare stand for a kit a play on in our practice studio to get a better layout. The stand is cheap. All of it. The cymbal mounting area is undersized as is the wingnut and threads. It's reasonably stable, but I would only use it for simple setups that stay in place for a while. This thing would wear out if you gig too much and I do not trust it's durability or stability. It's a good spare stand and that is it.

  • Good so far!

Bought this for my son's kit for his birthday. Seems to be well made and sturdy enough. Haven't had any issues as far as I can tell. Paired it with a Meinl double stack trash can. Works great.

  • Great stand!

I was reluctant to purchase such an inexpensive stand with out seeing it in person, after it arrived all fears were set aside. This is a very sturdy well made stand. Not just for the price but in general, I would definitely purchase another one.

  • For the price it's good

Bought two for the travel kit because they are light weight. Just pay attention to leg placement if you're going to hang a heavier cymbal using the boom.

  • Great product and price, I'm going to get a couple more...!

Sturdy yet light weight, these cymbal stands are great for someone just starting out as well as working drummers looking to lighten the weight load of their hardware. Hopefully I'll be purchasing another very soon! Better yet, maybe Guitar Center will hook me up!

  • Great Standby cymbal stand. It is double braced but light.
