The SPL Junior Kicker Drum Kit is a 5-piece drum set in a manageable size for the junior player; yet, built to the demanding standards of a full-size set. It features an 18” kick drum for a deep, impactful bass drum sound, real multi-ply wood shells that provide plenty of volume and tone, full size foot pedals, fully tunable and replaceable top and bottom heads, and sleek chrome hardware. The Junior Kicker’s “all-in-one” configuration comes complete with everything needed to start playing right out of the box—including bass drum, snare drum, three tom drums, stands, cymbal, throne, bass drum pedal, tuning key and even a pair of drum sticks.

    This was a Christmas gift to my 4 years old son and he is been addicted to it since then. He absolutely LOVE it. However, I am not a experienced musician and it took me SEVERAL hours to assemble it. Instructions are terrible and did not help much, almost did not make it on time.

    You're right on the border. Being that a larger drum sounds better, I would say no.

    Would this set be too big for my 2 year old? He loves to play my dad's electric drum set and does fairly well knowing how to hit the drums etc. obviously can't reach the bass pedal or other pedals. If he stood and played would he be able to reach? He's about 32 inches tall.
