I have been searghin for the right front end to my DAW and with the Alpha Channel I now have it. This things sound so smooth and great. Crystal clear and warm. The option that it gives you to record both the dry and wet signal is awesome. It is definitely the most valuable (not price wise) piece of equipment in my rig.

the preamp brings SSL to the masses, the sound i cannot find anything to complain about, all praises, the clarity and punch suggest a class a set up within the small box,i was blown away. the EQ was superb too,the post Digital converter comp/limit saved my butt on a few sessions. but the gain knob started producing scratchy noises after 2 months of use...so its either a.dont use on the dusty far east and asia or b.SSL pls use better knobs like what joe meek or focusrite uses. otherwise i love it as a great DAW frontend.
