      Comments about Snark Touch Metronome:

IF you use the built in speaker, this unit is great. Compact, plenty loud for practice, and bright.

However, I practice with headphones (traveller guitar, VOX AC30 headphone adapter) and using the audio out to the headphones is exceedingly loud at it's quietest setting, and damagingly loud at it's loudest setting.. It drowns out nearby jackhammers. Same when plugging it into a practice amp, it overwhelms the guitar at any practice volume.

So if you don't plan on using the line out to another speaker device, it's a great unit. If you do want to plug it into something, I would choose another unit. Thank you GC for the 45 day return policy!

              Comments about Snark Touch Metronome:

a couple of my guitarist friends each got a snark tuner that worked great. I saw they sold metronomes too and got one. It worked pretty well for the two days that it actually worked before not turning on after that. Unfortunately the receipt got thrown away and couldn't return it. I showed my appreciation for the great quality of this product with the business end of a hammer. Had to get my money's worth out of it somehow.

              Compact, Visual/Auditory Metronome

              Comments about Snark Touch Metronome:

I use this metronome during guitar practice. The display is colorful and visual. When keeping the beat with the sound, there are also icons on the screen that flash. That might be distracting to some but I find the visual cues very helpful to help me keep the beat. I chose this one over black-and-white displays for the extra visual cues. There are six rhythm sounds and fifteen rhythms, from the very basic to much more advanced. The rate of the tempo, sounds, and volume are all controlled by tapping the screen like we do with a cell phone, so it is very intuitive. I gave it four stars because I have not had it long enough to determine battery life. The past couple of times I turned it on, the screen dimmed and the numbers escalated all by themselves and would not stop. I removed a battery to make it stop and switched the batteries around. So far, it is working fine. The unit is a good weight, and small and compact - easy to carry around. If you like visual to add to the auditory, this is a good choice.
