The Sire V3 is an excellent 5string jazz bass. A bit heavy but no neck drive. Sounds good in both passive and active modes. I have been playing since 1973 and nobody had a bass this good at this price point back then. I have owned Fenders, Rickenbacker, G&L, Ibanez and Squier but the two Sires I have could give any of them a contest in playability and sound and all the features you get for an 'entry' level bass make them winners

Don't hesitate to buy one of these Basses, you won't find a better bass for the price and as good or better than basses costing two to three times the price!
