    I purchased this to replace the trigger on an Alesis DM10 Pro kit in my home studio and wow, what an improvement! Really solid feel under foot with much more accurate triggering than my stock Alesis DM10 kick. I'm running a Pearl P900 pedal which required a minor modification to get it to clamp securely to the rim (had to add a cap nut to extend the length of the t-bolt - the drum rim is a little thin). I also have a Roland kit at church that I play, I was so impressed with the upgrade on my Alesis, I had to try it on the Roland kit and had the same great result! The Roland kit had a KD-9 kick trigger, which is actually a very solid unit, but the Simmons KP180 blows it away! It was plug and play with both kits (the Roland module is a TD11) no settings tweaking required on either kit. I just ordered a second KP180 so both kits will have the upgraded kicks. Build quality is very good and the in-room sound is as quiet or maybe a little quieter than the stock triggers I replaced. I would not hesitate to gig professionally with this on my kit. It feels like a road-worthy piece that could take repeated set-up and breakdown and travel (in a drum case, of course. And from an appearance stand point, both kit's look so much better with the KP180 on there! Great product Simmons, please keep making add-ons like this!

    Using it as an upgrade from the stock titan 50 kick pad, it's an absolutely amazing upgrade. It feels premium and responsive. Comes with 2 kick pad protectors but I recommend you buy better ones

    Much improved design over the Titan 70s stock kick pad, that wobbled and caused terrible foot fatigue. Double pedal rig does not attach well at all to this without some makeshift spacers, but does get there, and excellent overall upgrade.

    Sounds , plays, and looks great for my Alesis DM10 I also added the Simmons 12 inch snare and Simmons13, 16,and 18 inch cymbals....Now it plays looks, and sounds amazing. Highly recommend all these upgrades!!

    While the look of this kick is a plusā€¦ even more important is the tight trigger and feel. Really glad I upgraded. It's been a solid addition to the studio.

    It may. It will very possibly be inconsistent. Itā€™s not a good idea to mix brands of e-drums.
