Ballsy lil' Sucker
I compared both Simmons amps with the Rolands in the store. The Simmons amps sounded more solid and had a very dynamic range. It's plenty loud enough for practicing and playing along with music. I can drive my roomates nuts in a fairly large house and make my ears hurt. This amp will not work (and isn't ment) to play live shows, so dont expect to blow windows out with it. I am happy. Try one in the store and you will quickly see how loude the little amp gets.

MAJOR DISTORTION of cymbals above 50% volume
I am a real customer and want to be very forthcoming. Overall a disappointment. It works fine at low volume, but then it doesn't overcome the tapping on my Roland 15 electronic drums. When I turn it up to a decent level, then the crash and ride cymbals have major distortion - sounds terrible! no longer like music but bad noise. I am replacing this item.

Great monitor at a really good deal

Did a bunch of research and this monitor had really good reviews. GC.com had it for a great price in their clearance section with free shipping. This is the older model but the main (and I think only) difference is the newer model has Bluetooth for connecting a phone/mp3 player. Even at full price this is a good monitor but on sale it's a steal.

Bought this for my son so he could practice at home without really disturbing the rest of family. The acoustics set was hard to use without waking up the neighborhood. Great tone! Good volume control

This thing has a lot more volume than I anticipated and has so far worked out very well. It sounds really good for this price point. I do hear some line noise at all volume levels as other reviews have stated and while I wouldn't want that for recording or live performances, it's not terrible for a practice amp.

Great amp for my electronic drum set!! Reasonable volume at band rehearsal levels, but you may need to go to more watts or mic it if you need it louder!! Stays clear and clean, doesn't get muddy or fuzz at full blast!!
