Simmons
Description
The Simmons DA25 is the perfect first electronic drum amplifier for the beginning drummer or for anyone looking for a great ‘grab-n-go’ drum sound system for home use and practice. With a full 25W of clean power, it easily handles full volume without distortion, and with its separate low frequency and tweeter drivers, the DA25 produces a full-frequency range, important for hearing the frequency and dynamics of electronic drum sounds. The built-in 2-band EQ allows for sonic customization to match the venue or performance situation. And the DA25’s slanted cab design helps direct all that great sound toward the drummer, allowing the player to hear themselves clearly during practice and rehearsals.

Does its job

The sound quality is good, and the unit is small and portable. It works for small rooms while practicing. Unfortunately, mine blew at the first practice, when I was trying to match the volume of my friends' amps... Honestly I would just recommend going up a little and getting the DA50...

Cheap, and sounds like it

Bought this and ended up returning it 2 days later. There was an annoying hum that never goes away and when connected using the 1/4" jack the sound would fade and come back for no apparent reason. Biggest issue was the poor sound quality. Everything sounds muddy with a resonance that makes each tom sound the same. Kick drum sounded flat and thin and could barely hear my hi-hat. Overall, my Alesis kit sounded nothing like it does in the headphones. Maybe good for a beginner to practice with, but that's about it.

Easy setup, sounds great. My son uses it to practice on his electric drum set in his bedroom. Perfect for him.

It is easy to set up and the sound is clean and full. It won't blow the windows out but plenty of power for a jam session or practice or a small venue

  • Works great

Compliments my Simmons kit. I would suggest an input for a headphone to bypass the speaker when practicing at home
