Great speaker for music and edrums!
I am very pleased with this speaker and Guitar City for honoring its price match guarantee. It sounds great on my Alese Surge SE. I compared in the store the 8, 10, and 12 and found the overall clarity on the 8" as good the 10" and the bass not too far off. The 12" actually sounded a bit muffled. I guess the larger woofer needs more/bigger tweeter. There are two settings on these speakers, one for on the floor and one if mounted on a pole at head level. Personally I find the pole setting to sound better in all positions. It sounds more like a bass boost imo. At home this speaker sounds even better, and bass quite impressive for an 8" woofer. I'm very glad I just got the 8". It also gets plenty loud for practice use. I highly recommend this Simmons DA2108. It sounds great playing my edrums or just music, or both for a cool jam session. I look forward to more jam sessions!

Pure Trash!!
I bought this amplifier not for my Keyboard/ drums because my setup would shred this thing. I bought this as a simple one mic amp. I couldn't hear it because my vocals are way louder than the amp. It's good for nothing. I would not recommend this for my enemies !!

Got this to go with my daughter's Alesis electronic drum set so she can effectively practice. Was worried it might be too loud in our 1 story condo, but its fine. We really like that you can hook up to Bluetooth to play music while playing the drums at the same time.
Nice sound. Works great for practice at home.

I read that I should use a Livewire Elite Instrument Cable to hook this to my Simmons Titan 50 Electric Drum Set. But do I need the cable with both straight plug-ins or the one with the angle and a straight plug-in?
The angle doesn't matter. Both will work.submitted7 months ago

Would this amp work well for movie audio?
I don't know the definition of "movie" audio. This is a nice full range system. It's not designed for "fidelity". It's not flat. It's loud. Do you need studio monitors?submitteda year ago
