Simmons DA2108 Advanced Drum Amp

Description
The Simmons DA2108 Advanced electronic drum amp puts 100W of power at your fingertips through premium speaker components, including an 8" speaker and 1" compression driver. It's engineered to faithfully reproduce the wide frequency range of an acoustic drum set for practicing, performing and recording. Connect your electronic drum set, MP3 player, smartphone or other devices via the DA2108's dual inputs or Bluetooth wireless connectivity.
Sculpt Your Sound With Onboard EQ
Shape your drum tone to perfection with the DA2108's intuitive 2-band equalizer. Boost or cut high and low frequencies to accentuate punchy bass, crisp cymbals or a balanced blend of both. The EQ provides a simple yet effective means of crafting your signature sound.
Practice Anytime, Anywhere With Headphone Output
The DA2108's headphone output lets you practice day or night without disturbing others. Simply plug in your favorite headphones for a private drumming session. The headphone out delivers the same full, rich tone as the DA2108's speaker components so you can refine your technique in a familiar sonic environment.
Road-Ready Design for Gigs or Studio
Although compact, the DA2108 is built to handle the rigors of rehearsals, gigs and recording. Its durable enclosure and rugged components are designed to produce optimal sound quality in any environment. Place the amp on the floor like a traditional model or mount it on a speaker pole for an ear-level mix.
Seamless Integration With Your Gear
In addition to the DA2108's dual inputs for electronic drums, MP3 players and other line-level gear, Bluetooth connectivity provides a wireless interface for streaming audio from smartphones, tablets and laptops. Play along to your favorite songs or backing tracks for an inspiring practice session.

Great speaker for music and edrums!
I am very pleased with this speaker and Guitar City for honoring its price match guarantee. It sounds great on my Alese Surge SE. I compared in the store the 8, 10, and 12 and found the overall clarity on the 8" as good the 10" and the bass not too far off. The 12" actually sounded a bit muffled. I guess the larger woofer needs more/bigger tweeter. There are two settings on these speakers, one for on the floor and one if mounted on a pole at head level. Personally I find the pole setting to sound better in all positions. It sounds more like a bass boost imo. At home this speaker sounds even better, and bass quite impressive for an 8" woofer. I'm very glad I just got the 8". It also gets plenty loud for practice use. I highly recommend this Simmons DA2108. It sounds great playing my edrums or just music, or both for a cool jam session. I look forward to more jam sessions!

Pure Trash!!
I bought this amplifier not for my Keyboard/ drums because my setup would shred this thing. I bought this as a simple one mic amp. I couldn't hear it because my vocals are way louder than the amp. It's good for nothing. I would not recommend this for my enemies !!

Got this to go with my daughter's Alesis electronic drum set so she can effectively practice. Was worried it might be too loud in our 1 story condo, but its fine. We really like that you can hook up to Bluetooth to play music while playing the drums at the same time.
Nice sound. Works great for practice at home.

Super design , great features , nice home or apartment amp but lacking in volume for gigs or someone who want to feel the big punch of ur set . Had to step it up to the biggest model then patch both amps together . Now I've got hear shattering bass drum kick !!!

I read that I should use a Livewire Elite Instrument Cable to hook this to my Simmons Titan 50 Electric Drum Set. But do I need the cable with both straight plug-ins or the one with the angle and a straight plug-in?
The angle doesn't matter. Both will work.submitted4 months ago

Would this amp work well for movie audio?
I don't know the definition of "movie" audio. This is a nice full range system. It's not designed for "fidelity". It's not flat. It's loud. Do you need studio monitors?submitteda year ago
