Absolutely Incredible Instrument

I don't know what kind of magic Silver Creek used to create this unbelievable instrument. I am a bluegrass and celtic fiddle student and was struggling to find an instrument with the right sound. I purchased and traded in three other violins, some of them twice the price of this fiddle. This was my last-ditch effort. The second I drew my bow across the strings, my heart skipped a beat. This is the warm, forgiving, punchy, full, old-timey sound that is perfect for any kind of folk music. The low end is deep and resonant, the high strings rich and never shrill, and overall the sound is mellow and mature. My fiddle teacher tried it out and was absolutely blown away. This compares favorably to instruments I've played that cost more than two grand. It looks beautiful, with a highly flamed one piece back-- icing on the cake. The wood bow is also incredible, and plays better than any bow I've ever tried, at any price. I am so confused as to how Silver Creek achieved all of this for the money. If you're at all considering this, just put it in your cart. This is a no-brainer. I cannot recommend it any more highly.

What is the difference between a violin and a fiddle?
A fiddle is a bowed string musical instrument, most often a violin. It is a colloquial term for the violin, used by players in all genres including classical music. ... The fiddle is part of many traditional (folk) styles, which are typically aural traditions—taught 'by ear' rather than via written music.
