The Shure SRH440A Professional Studio Headphones deliver enhanced, detailed frequency response with accurate audio for podcasting, home recording and critical editing/mixing. The consistent and uncolored sound response provides an authentic representation of the audio, ideal for precisely hearing talent in podcasts or recording sessions. The increased sound isolation, longer straight cable and premium materials are also great for video editing. The SRH440A headphones are the upgraded version of the popular SRH440 model, with improved features for professional use.

Enhanced Frequency Response for Natural Sound

With a frequency range of 5Hz to 25kHz, the SRH440A headphones provide an extended frequency response for a natural and accurate listening experience. The 40 mm neodymium dynamic drivers are specifically tuned to provide rich bass, clear midrange and articulate highs. The result is a balanced soundscape ideal for critical listening, ensuring you hear every nuance of a track.

Superior Comfort and Build for Long Sessions

Designed for extended wear, the SRH440A headphones feature padded ear cups and an adjustable padded headband for maximum comfort during long mixing or listening sessions. Built to withstand the rigors of professional use, the headphones have a durable construction with metal grilles protecting the driver elements. The detachable 10' cable is designed to resist tangling and withstand repeated use.

Enhanced Isolation for Focused Listening

With circumaural ear cups that fully enclose your ears, the SRH440A headphones block out ambient noise for focused listening. The ear cups provide passive noise isolation so you can concentrate on the audio coming through the headphones without distraction. This makes the SRH440A model ideal for use in home studios, audio production facilities and any environment where background noise may interfere with critical listening.

Trusted Brand for Professionals

As a brand trusted by audio engineers, musicians and sound technicians worldwide, Shure is committed to manufacturing high-quality audio equipment for professionals. This is my second go-round with these headphones and will be the last. They sound great, but in both cases the headband wears out fairly quickly. I wrapped black duct tape around the headband of my first pair until they finally broke. Bought a second pair and after a few months the headband is falling off again. This issue is basically cosmetic and not that big of a deal, but what is a bigger deal to me is that you no longer get a coiled cord with them; instead the headphones ship with a straight cord that in my limited space is a messy distraction. The connector has been changed, and so the coiled cord from my old pair doesn't fit. A new one will set you back $20 - 20% of the cost of the headphones. Like I said earlier, they sound great, but I have a pair of Sonys that fit well, also sound great, have a coiled cord, and have held up for about 18 months without a hint of wear. Sorry to say that I'll be looking elsewhere if I need another pair of headphones.

Bought these to edit voice recordings at home. I can hear every nuance and they're very comfortable too.
