HUGE flaw in design (planned obsolescence?)

Product works as intended at first, but there is a flaw in the design that leads to the product breaking in time. There is a small seam on the wireless adaptor right before the button behind your ear. This seam is just above where the case pinches to hold your earphones when charging/not in use. After taking the earphones in & out enough times (gently), you will notice the wireless adaptor starting to break at the seam. It is a fairly obvious weak point & the design of the case puts a lot of stress on that weak point. I use the right ear more than the left & have seen the seam split earlier on the right ear. I am very gentle with my electronics. I have owned these SE215s for about 8 years. I reached out to Shure about this design flaw and they did not care nor help me with the issue at all. I do love my SEs since they are modular & I can replace my wire over time (the weak point of wired earphones), but the design of the wireless adaptor (or the case) needs to be updated. Right now it seems like planned obsolescence so people need to repurchase after some use. I see there are other reviews with the same issue...i hope they do something about it. I currently have mine wrapped with athletic tape (has worked better than electrical tape) to try and keep them alive.
