Shure

Description

The PGXD24/SM58 handheld transmitter with SM58 mic is designed to meet the needs of the traveling performer by pairing an industry-standard handheld dynamic vocal microphone with an exceptional transmitter and receiver.

The PGXD2 transmitter features automatic setup, a multi-function LED Indicator (power, lockout, mute, low battery), and provides you with up to 9 hours of continuous use on 2 AA batteries. It gives you and your microphone a generous 200' (60 m) operating range without losing audio quality.

The PGXD4 receiver offers 24-bit/48kHz resolution for incredibly accurate sound, auto frequency selection and greater reliability thanks to its true digital diversity.

The Shure SM58 mic is legendary for its uncanny ability to withstand abuse that would destroy any other microphone. The Shure SM58 has not only helped to define the sound of rock vocals on stage, it's also been used as a hammer to build stages and gone on to perform flawlessly later at the gig. Using a club's house system? You'll be singing through an SM58. And in the studio? Daniel Lanois always uses the SM58 or BETA 58 on Bono's vocals.

The Shure SM58 mic is world-renowned for its distinctive upper-midrange presence peak that ensures an intelligible, lively sound. Perfectly fits a performer's hand, balanced for total comfort during long gigs. Frequency response is a smooth, vocal-tailored 50Hz–15kHz, and the price is a bargain considering its life expectancy.

Besides the SM58 microphone, you also get a PGXD4 wireless receiver, PGXD2 handheld transmitter, padded case and a microphone clip.

I really like this product for its value & sound...This is way better than the previous PGX Analogue product...You can also exchange various Mic Capsules (Beta 58, plain 58, 87a, etc)... The SHURE PGXD Digital Wireless System has great features like Automatic Frequency Selection between the Receiver & Transmitter; a clear Scan Automatic Frequency search; and easy replacement or upgrade of the Microphone Cartridge/Capsule....Make sure the Transmitter has the proper GAIN setting (0 db for the SM58 Capsule)....Also follow the Frequency Selection process (a lot of people simply do not follow the Manual)... I use several of these systems in my Sound business....Great clear Sound....Great value...

Shure has been recognized as the industry standard for sound forever, that is without question. The problem with this microphone and most models of shure wireless microphones is the on/off button. I always have to carry a spare because 9 times out of ten the shure won't power on. Until they change their power on system, I will buy Sennheiser.

  • A hot mic, for half the price!

I'm part of a Southern Gospel Duet. I've had a Sennheiser ew365 wireless for myself for a few months. I have nothing but praise with it. But I wanted to get my singing partner a wireless as well, but we just couldn't afford another thousand dollar mic. So I decided to buy her a Shure PGXD24/SM58 Digital Wireless. All I can say is WOW! I had to turn the gain way down on the PMP4000 mixer. It's hot, compared to mine. When I got everything set up, I can't tell the difference between the Shure & the Sennheiser. Now you have to understand, the Shure receiver doesn't have all the bells & whistles like the more expensive Sennheiser, but it's well worth the investment.

First time buying Digital mic. Guitar center rep recommended and i was skeptical at first. Set it up at church and was immediately blown away by how loud and clear it was. Beats all wired mics we have. we use Shure and sennheiser and it beat both by a mile. I have the receiver 120 feet away and no dropouts. And as always read the manual before setting up. Don't be a noob

We have 2 "Shure PGXD24/SM58 Digital Wireless System With SM58 Mic" and we would like to put it on a rack by buying the "Shure BLX4R BLX Rackmountable Wireless Receiver". Can this work? If it can work, does handheld only work with certain bands?
