Shure

Description

The Shure KSM44 Studio Microphone is a multiple-pattern (cardioid, omni, and figure-8), externally biased, dual large diaphragm condenser microphone. It offers extremely low self noise (7dB); a warm, rich sound; vivid voice reproduction; and great flexibility in the studio. Works well on acoustic and amplified instruments and handles the high SPLs of drums and guitar amps. Includes color-matched ShureLock elastic-suspension shockmount, ShureLock swivelmount, protective velveteen pouch, and locking aluminum carrying case.

Requires phantom power.

I bought this mic a couple of months ago and it is the best mic that I have used for the cost. I set up a permenant location for the mic, you have to be very careful with it. It will pick up everything that make noise. The mic is so sensative that you need to lower the volume all the way down and slowly increase volume or you will blow your ears. It is very good for recording. I even use it to record drums that are 10 feet away (I haven't bought drum mics) but it sounds the best when recording voice and acoustic guitar, Thanks,
