I'm a drummer who does back up vocals & wanted a headset because I felt constricted using a regular mic. Shure doesn't disappoint!

Needed hands free mic since I place bass guitar or drums. This works pretty good for the price. A little uncomfortable but you get used to it. No trouble finding a channel but setup is hot so it will take a little tweaking fine tune feedback. Overall a good value.

  • Great sound and freedom to move around.

I have been using this in a rehearsal setting for a couple of weeks and it's working great. I'm still on my first set of batteries so longevity is terrific. I had to adjust the gain a little out of the box but it was very easy and the sound quality is clean. I'm still trying to figure out how to best run the wires from the headset to the receiver without getting in the way of the wires from my my OTHER wireless guitar transmitter, but that is certainly not the fault of the unit and I'm sure I'll figure something out. My only issue is that the sound is kind of "flat", I might say, as compared to a standard wired microphone where I can created dynamics by moving closer or further from it, but the freedom of movement is really a joy.

Not really. The PGA31 capsule has limited dynamic range and isn’t designed to handle high SPLs (sound pressure levels), so if you're singing loud, dynamic vocals, it might distort or sound thin. Not as detailed or rich in frequency response compared to more pro-grade vocal mics May not cut through a loud band mix effectively.

You could possibly make it work, but it would probably take having to modify the headset to work with the accordion. It would be a lot less difficult to just purchase the same system with the clip on mic.

It could be used for that but you would need either XLR or 1/4" input.

No. You would need to run it in a second band to prevent one canceling out the other.
