I bought these headphones 4 years ago and I can attest to their quality even today. I mix better on these than I do on my Yamaha HS7's (I don't have a sub so the 5's were out of the question and I think the 8's have a boomy low end). Everything is clear, well represented and flat. I love writing/mixing on the go because with these headphones I know I'll have something actually worth finishing when I get home. They're not the most comfortable headphones in the world as I have a big head and after a few hours they make my ears hurt, but a little discomfort is well worth a good mix especially for the price. I hope they never discontinue them!

  • Great Headphones at a decent price.

initial thoughts: first thought was that they look awesome. I love the Dark grey w/ the blue accents. They come in a really nice and durable case which will help extend the overall lifespan with the amount of back and forth traveling. They are comfortable and the sound quality is great. I'm a bassist so the lows are super important to be able to hear clearly, which I could. The precision is great. I love that i can hear the individual hi hat and symbols clearly. after a 1 hour jam session last night, I felt like I had been at a live concert. maybe my levels were too high but that's the way i like it.

I am not an audiophile but I appreciate good sound. These headphones sound amazing using them with a mixing board. I use these to record live in a loud situation and they also do a great job of significantly reducing ambient noise.

  • Always a good purchance.
