Selmer TS44 Professional Tenor Saxophone Lacquer

Description
This horn features a genuine Henri Selmer Paris neck and mouthpiece, a beautiful BAM backpack case and a warm, rich sound ideal for both classical and jazz playing. The body is a fully ribbed design and features Pisoni pro pads and blue steel springs for great reaction time and durability.
It is the first collaboration between Selmer US and Henri Selmer Paris that has resulted in an affordable saxophone with unexpected performance. The Selmer TS-44 possesses many features that are common for professional instruments and uncommon for student instruments. It possesses all of the dynamic and timbral range a professional musician needs to deliver an expressive performance, but stays in a price range that is within reach of more musicians than would be a Reference 54 or a Series III.

Highly recommended, great Selmer sound

Very impressed with the sound quality and build of this saxophone. I had purchased an AS42 Alto previously, which I love, so thought I'd give the TS44 a try. It's as good a "Selmer" sound as the Selmer Paris models, for a lot less. I don't find the stock TM44 mouthpiece to be of much use, though. I can strongly recommend using a Vandoren Java T75. Nice full sound with a little edge.
I love this Saxophone

I've been using a yamaha advantage for jazz band these last couple months and I needed a horn that would be sufficient for improvisation, and affordable in my price range. My saxophone is unlacquered however, which doesn't seem to be sold online. The TS44 is great for people that aren't professionals yet, but want to get as close as possible to the professional sound. The body is made in Taiwan while the neck and mouthpiece are made in Paris. Beautiful sax.
