This affordable 25.5" dreadnought-sized acoustic-electric features a select solid cedar top paired with a wild cherry body, giving you a sound that falls between the more common mahogany or Indian rosewood. This guitar is perfect in every detail. The sound is amazing. I read that Seagull is the third highest rated guitar manufacturer but looks to me to have the best product for the money.

I love my seagull s6 and i was ready to upgrade to a martin or taylor. I came across the Coastline and absolutely love it. Seagulls sound is just as good as martin or taylor although it has its own voice. I found that with my budget I could get this really nice seagull or a satin finish bare bones version of a taylor or martin. So i went with the seagull and am really impressed with the product. Plays just as amazing as my s6 but has the nice finish and coat with electronics. Classic S6 dreadnought sound, full and loud. I can still feel the body resonate while playing chords even with the coat.

Love it. Had the opportunity to play it alongside an S6 and an S6 spruce gloss. Preferred this one. Looks great, plays so smooth, and the tone is amazing. Clear, sweet and lively. Even feels lively as I can feel it in my hands and against my torso. It's loud too. There's something to the pressure tested top and x bracing. Action was low right from the start. Good build quality, huge bang for the buck. I like that 1.8 nut width also. The jack is separate from the end pin, and the battery access is also convenient. I haven't plugged it in yet but expect it will sound good. It's a keeper of a guitar, and if you don't like yours, there's a good return policy. Pair this with the excellent Seagull gig bag and you're good to go.

  • Best acoustic I've ever owned

I generally don't go out of my way to review guitars. I'm much more of an electric guitar player, so adding a review about a les paul, strat or tele isn't going to give anyone much more insight than they already had. But that said, it always boggled my mind that for whatever reason I always hated playing acoustic guitar. I figured it had to be some combination of the equipment and the fact that I generally don't play acoustic that much. Perhaps a vicious cycle of the two. I've owned 2 Martins ($500 range) and I hated them. I thought they sounded good in the store or maybe I liked the name. Only to never play them because I felt either the tone was dead or the neck felt lifeless to play. I took it upon myself to find an acoustic I liked. I went through the entire acoustic room at my local GC. I tried Taylors, Martins, Takamines, Fenders, and Gibsons with no regard for the price tag to no avail. Finally I tried a Seagull (not this model, as it was an acoustic only they had in stock). I was blown away by the tone. I could tell it would cut through a mix and was full. The neck also had "life" in it. I could bend notes, pull off and generally didn't feel like my fingers were moving through molasses as I do on most other acoustics. My store ordered this model for me. And in a few weeks it arrived, and we unboxed it in the store. It sounded better than the non acoustic electric model I had tried and looked even more beautiful. Since getting it home I haven't been able to put it down. I've been able to remember songs I used to play on acoustic over 15 years ago just by a muscle / ear memory I didn't realize I had. For under $500 this guitar is the deal of century. Do yourself a favor and try one of these out.

Do the the 2018 and 2019 Momentum's have a 1.72 nut width? I thought only the first year was 1.8.

Unfortunately additional pictures are unavailable. Blemishes are slight and do not affect the tone or play ability of the instrument.
