Sounds great but check your neck pickup height

On the second day after purchasing, while playing, the neck pickup sprung up out of nowhere from one side, it was touching the 5th string. I had to screw it down again, this time a little further. So keep in mind, like in other comments, this might happen to you as well.
Great bass, but QA process needs work

Great looking and playing bass, only con is neck dive. Love the light weight. Lighter than my four string Fender Jazz bass. The guitar arrived with the neck pick up unscrewed, the loose screw was rattling around in the box. Thankfully it didn't scratch the body. The neck bridge was very loose. Shector and Guitar Center needs to step up their quality control.
great look and feel except the neck dive is annoying.

I took a chance and ordered this beauty online and i'm not disappointed. one of the pickups was not screwed down all the way but that was an easy fix the set up was decent. the only issue i have so far is that the head stock is massive and the weight causes it to dive when standin
Specs are subjective, and this bass is subjectively perfect

I was a hair's length away from ordering a custom boutique bass from some fancy overpriced workshop due to not finding a single bass that had everything I needed in a single design.... well, until I found the Ultra V... I have had already recorded 5 songs on this bass since January. It is able to range from jazz to doom, from hip hop to modern rock. For the specs that I personally want out of a bass... which are 35 scale length, passive electronics, set thru neck construction, string thru bridge, and matte black finish... they are all EXACTLY what I need. Anyone else with similar spec needs should consider this as their main above all else. I love this instrument and if you hunger for design like this, you will as well 100%

Does this bass experience neck dive?
It will have some. Nothing bad. They all dive somewhat.
