In the specs it says this guitar has a 26.5" scale length. Schecter does not make a Hellraiser C8 with a 26.5" scale. The scale length is 28"

I love this thing. the tone is more flexible than I expected and the build quality is superb. it is easy to play, beautiful to look at, and the attention to detail is impressive. but it can melt you face at the same time. well done Schecter!
Hellraiser C-8

The C-8 I received was in perfect shape. The 16 inch fretboard radius is great. I down tune one full step, and use .012, .016, .022, .034, .046, .060 for the first six, and this keeps the tension consistent and more than adequate. Make sure you get a plain (not wound) G string at .022. The pickups give a good clear tone, but can get muddy sounding on the base, if you don't have the right diameter strings, and get the pickups set just right on the height. Honestly this is more guitar than I expected, and the neck and the fretting is really good. The locking tuners are fantastic. I changed the volume knobs to a shorter version and put a couple of washers betwwen the pot and the body, as one of them is too close to the strings and was a bit in the way. A lot of guitar for the money. I also own Gibson, Godin, and Takamine and a Fender acoustic. These pickups really like Curt Mangan strings. Tried Daddario, Dhs, and Clear Tones. Mangan and Clear Tone gave the best tone, Mangans are cheaper and sound the best, and its easy to get the Plain .022, which this guitar really needs rather than the .020 G string.

Schecter comes through again with another brilliant guitar. The set neck provides a sleek look and adds to the nice tone. The EMG808's provide a lovely tight response resulting in a well-balanced tone all the way down to the low F#. Rich deep defined lows and tight crystal clear highs. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend this guitar. Get one while you still can!
