Versatile guitar

I use it to play music from bands such as Megadeth, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Rush etc and it performs very well. I was really amazed by Sustaniac performance. I often engage the Sustaniac function while trying to create long sustained effects of David Gilmour's in his compositions such as 5AM, Castellorizon. I love to switch to high harmonic Sustaniac during Castellorizon at spot 3:04 and it works perfectly. I don't feel much impact from engaging split coil and I don't think the sound is identical to a Fender with split coil engaged, well not surprising the pick-ups run hotter than Fender's anyhow to say the least. If you play a lot and can afford to buy multiple guitars then do so as one guitar solution for all the sounds doesn't yet exist. Having said that, I can pretty much use this for any sound and enjoy it, as the pick ups definitely have a warm tonality.

Excellent, setup great out of the box, Fishman pickup is amazing very high output and the clearest unit I've heard yet. Plays great, thin fast neck, but not too thin like the Ibanez. Sustain system is great. All around a great instrument...

I have had this guitar for about a year now and let me just say that it is the best guitar I have ever played. I play every day for at least and hour-2 hours and this thing will never... ever go out of tune(thanks to the floyd rose). People do have a bad rap about floyd roses since they seem difficult to set up or just to change strings, but the longer you have it, the more you will get used to it and by the time you get the hang of it, it will only take like 5 minutes to change strings. Now for the pickups... they are BRUTAL. The fishman fluence active pickup in the bridge has a HUGE attack especially for metal. I play in mainly Drop C and the bridge pickup has the perfect attack for it... amazing pickup!!! The neck pickup is just as great. This pickup the the sustainiac and as in the name, it has top notch sustain. It can coil tap which can be VERY useful especially if you not as hardcore with you genre, you can make this a Metal Machine and you can also make it sound just like a Stratocaster with the neck pickup... again... these pickups are amazing. Let me just lay down the other specs for you. So first off, the stainless steel frets are a very good idea when schecter designed this model so that way you pretty much never have to replace the frets... EVER. The inlays are very simple but they made them so cool looking, the finish is beautiful, I got the Antique Fade Burst instead of the gray just because it has more life to it. Last but certainly not least... THE NECK!!! This is the thinest neck that i have ever played on, its called ultra thin C shape(if you didn't think the regular "thin C" was enough). And the neck is one piece which means that you can really get to those high frets with no problem at all. Its so smooth and since its wood, your thumb won't stick and drag on it nearly as easy which is good when you want to move across the fretboard easily. Overall, this is such an amazing guitar, and its the best one I have ever played in my life!!!
This has more sound capabilities then imagined.

Perfect for playing multiple guitar genres. Fills in with the sustainiac pickup when keyboards and strings aren't available. Feedback settings are awesome!
