Great Heads But...
Overall I am very happy with these new heads. I installed them on my Gibson Less Paul Special 2. However, the lack of documentation is discomforting. I bought these heads assuming I could just drop them in and start playing again but that wasn't quite the case in my experience. Apparently the Special 2 has slightly smaller holes for it's tuning heads (like .050 inches smaller) and they do not fit without some slight modification to the stock. If you use them on a Special 2, you WILL have to make the holes larger. DO NOT DO THIS unless you are experienced and know what you are doing or else you can completely screw up your fretboard and have to buy a new one, which can get pricey. I do highly recommend these heads but I do wish I had known beforehand that I would need to modify my guitar. Just some simple stats on the dimensions would have helped immensely

I HAD TO BUY IT TWICE
BOUGHT THESE FOR MY PRS GUITAR. I HAVE. BOUGHT GRAPH TECH FOR MY LES PAUL HAD TO REPLACE A TUNER OF THEIRS AS WELL. GOT THE SCHALLERS INSTALLED THEM ON MY PRS INSERTED STRINGS TRIED TO TIGHTEN THE LOW E #6 AND ALL IT WOULD DO IS SLIP. LONG STORY SHORT CONTACTED GUITAR CENTER EXPLAINED WHAT HAPPENED I JUST WANTED THE ONE REPLACEMENT AND OFFERED TO PAY FOR IT. AFTER 2 WEEKS OF NOTHING I JUST OREDERED ANOTHER SET NOW I HAVE SPARES OF SAME BRAND FOR MY PRS. THE BEST LOCKING TUNERS I HAVE HAD OVER 20 YEARS ARE ON MY STRAT PLUS 88/89 MADE BY SPIERZEL. WELL MADE GOOD MATERIALS. THE GRAPH TECHS FEEL LIKE POT METAL.. SCHALLERS WORK WELL WHEN THEY WORK AND SEEM TO BETTER MATERIAL AND QUALITY THAN THE GRAPH TECH.

This product completed my project guitar. It looks and sounds amazing and re-stringing is a breeze. There's no denying Schaller's quality. It's everthing I imagined. A special shout out to Dallas and staff at Guitar Center Mobile, Al. for ordering and installing them. You guys rock.

Someone wrote a review saying they fit perfectly into an Ibanez ASF75T which is why I bought them to put on mine but they did not reach as far as the original tuners. Talking with my local GC tech he said take the washers off and after that they reached just enough to catch the string and stay in tune perfectly.
Heck not fit PRS SE CUSTOM W/ ROASTED MAPLE NECK

Read comments prior to purchase. One reviewer said these tuners fit his PRS SE 24 CUSTOM. Unfortunately the posts are too short for a PRS SE CUSTOM with a ROASTED MAPLE NECK. Bummer, had to return. Five stars for quality of Schaller products.
Great looking tuning machines, just wish they had fit.

The tuners looked great, just wish they fit . They came highly recommended but when I received them I found they were a perfect fit except the posts were too short for the headstock on my Les Paul kit. Guitar center has been great about allowing me to return them but I also wish that they would put the sizing in the product description so that I wouldn't have wasted time and shipping charges on a product that wasn't going to fit on my guitar. Not really sure what these tuners would fit on as all five of my guitars (2 PRS SEs, 1 Fender Tele, 1 Squier Tele and 1 Les Paul) all have the same thickness of headstocks so these were too short for all of them. Really wish these were the right size because I've heard they are great machines and they were a perfect fit for the predrilled holes in the headstock except for the post length.
