Savarez Traditional trebles are made of rectified nylon which is characterized by a distinctive unpolished finish. This grittiness contributes to a lessening of the high overtones. Because of their texture, the treble strings are unusually controllable with regard to vibrato and stability. The characteristics of their tone make their pitch particularly clear and true. The basses are on the warm and soft side, and their tone is strong overall.

Started with these strings decades ago, always liked sound * feel * consistency * of them. Still a novice player.

A favorite of Hawaiian slack key guitar players, professional AND amateur. I buy these regularly for my musician brothers. Wish they would stock them in-house in the store. I always have to order them online; however, Guitar Center is good enough to offer store delivery. Thanks for that.

these string are beatiful, the trebles looks soo good and the High tension made a very cool sound, the basses some times are too tension for some song but its a little detail.

Nylon acoustic guitar strings, also called classical guitar strings, do not use metal cores at all. The top three strings are made from nylon or polymer, and the bottom three strings consist of a stranded nylon or polymer core, wound with silver or alloy.

Can I put these on my steel string acoustic?

Can I put these on my steel string acoustic?

No. Tension required for the steel strings would be too much and either snap the nylon strings or damage the guitar.
