I like the Guitar Center Store. Great Store! But I had problem with shipping. That is the second time it happened.

As a steel string player in an energetic band, I've become a heavy handed guitarists. Switching between my Martin D28 and my Manuel Rodriguez E cedar top classical guitar has been difficult in the past due to differences in string height and tension. Recently, I lowered the nut and saddle on my classical by a small amount resulting in unwanted buzz when using Savarez Alliance normal tension strings with Classic basses and Alliance KF carbon trebles. My cedar top always sounded rich and vibrant with the prior setup and strings, but I wanted more consistency in the playability of my steel string guitar and the classical one, so I researched opinions on the web and finally chose high tension strings with the new Cantiga basses. The results are subtle, but positive. The basses feel firmer like what a steel string player is accustomed to, and the carbon trebles in higher tension are an acceptable alternative to the more delicate lively tone of the medium set I used before. In a perfect world, I would have the tone I had before with an even lower setup, but that is impossible. The more I play these new strings, the happier I am for having made the switch!

  • Great Strings for most classical guitars!

These strings enhance the richness and balance of many classical guitars - a difference you can hear immediately. The exception would be a guitar that is overly bright or raw-sounding. Additionally, there are several options available in tension and treble/bass combinations that make the Savarez flurocarbon offerings very attractive.
