Awesome guitar

I was looking for a small body guitar to play outdoors. I ordered the Sigma 10 mini sunburst. It came in with 3 bridge pins loose. One would not stay in. It had a bright sunburst top that really stood out. Because of the bridge pins I ended up ordering a Yamaha parlor that was close to $500. It was a nice guitar but because of the price I never took it outdoors. I didn't want to spend another $500 if it got bear up and damaged. So I ordered another Sigma 10 mini during a deal of the day special. I'm sure glad I did because this guitar is excellent. Real grover tuners. Low action. Perfect for fingerstyle. The top has a much tighter grain pattern than the Yamaha. The neck is slim and comfortable. If something happens to it I can replace it for less than half the price of the Yamaha. If it's on sale I could get 4 for the price. The unusual thing is the first Sigma had a bright yellow sunburst with white string pins.. The one I have now has a more subdued burst. More like an autumn or tobacco burst. And it has black end pins.I liked the brighter burst but for finish and playability I'll keep the one I have now.

I would not buy again

Its a good price, but if you strum at all it rattles so bad. Holds a tune well and seems generally good for picking, but like i said, if you want to jame out it is not the one. I want to give an honest review bc i was excited with what i saw and the price.

In fact I have purchased two of these. I enjoy experimenting with inexpensive guitars, and will make alterations to bracing to change the tone. I bought the second in case my cutting ruined the first, but have cut on neither one because they both sound good. I have an assortment of short scale acoustics. I like the size for playing and traveling comfort. String tension takes some getting used to if you have not played a short scale guitar. The sunburst finish alone would cost more on a Martin or Taylor. Discounted, this is a no brainer. Finish and intonation are flawless. Wood quality is very good.

  • Great little guitar. Love it.

I wanted a parlor-sized guitar, something similar to a Taylor GS-Mini, but not so expensive. This is really perfect. Sigma still puts out great products after all these years. (I remember them when they were owned by Martin).

My Sigma10 mini was delivered today and wow what a great little guitar. Mine has the black pegs and Grover tuners with life time warranty on the tuners. Every thing about this little guitar screams quality. I got mine on sale, but it is worth every penny for the full asking price. Happy jamming! David R

Bought this for my daughter but I'm enjoying it too. The sound quality is close my Taylor GS Mini for a lot less money. It's also finished beautifully.
