The Seydel BIG SIX is a six-hole harp that is small and easily portable, and very satisfying to play. The FOLK (SOLO) version of the BIG SIX is only available for the wooden (Classic-) version and it represents holes 4 to 9 of a regular blues harp (which is the major scale). So the FOLK version actually gives you more tones for melody playing.

Beautifully made, handsome and reliable, the Sehydel BIG SIX will give you good service for longer than conventional harmonicas.

The Harmonica hand a good weight, and didn't feel cheaply made, so I was excited to play a few notes to test it out. That's when things went south... The harmonica is supposed to represent holes 4-9 on a standard C key Harmonica, but the tones that came out were much MUCH lower, which was incredibly disappointing because the Big Sixes I listened to on Video reviews sounded amazing. I compared the tones against the same holes on my Standard C Hohner, and it made them sound like a dog whistle by comparison. My guess is the wrong reeds were dropped in accidentally. I can't return the item, so it looks like it will be given a place of honor at the local landfill...
