Sabian XSR Super Set

Description
Sabian's XSR Super Set provides an array of tonally matched cymbals to suit any musical genre. Crafted from B20 bronze, an alloy renowned for rich, complex overtones, the XSR series delivers professional quality at an affordable price. The set includes a shimmering 10" splash, crisply articulate 14" hi-hats, a trio of fast crashes in 14", 16" and 18" sizes and a substantial yet versatile 20" ride. With a cymbal for every application, the XSR Super Set empowers drummers to explore the full creative potential of their kit.
B20 Bronze Construction Provides Professional Tone
The XSR series is cast from B20 bronze, a premium alloy renowned for producing cymbals with a warm, rich tone, complex overtones and outstanding projection. B20 bronze gives the XSR Super Set a level of tonal sophistication typically found only in professional-level cymbals, allowing drummers to achieve a wide range of sounds from dark and mellow to bright and cutting.
Thin Splash Accents, Crisp Hi-Hats Anchor the Rhythm
The 10" splash cymbal's thin profile generates a shimmering burst of sound to accent key moments in a performance. Paired with the responsive 14" hi-hats, the splash helps create rhythmic patterns with both subtlety and intensity. The hi-hats themselves are highly articulate, suited to keeping time with a crisp, cutting chick sound or riding in a sloshy wash.
Trio of Fast Crashes Handle Any Style
With 14", 16" and 18" options, the fast crashes supply the ideal accent for any genre. The 14" crash provides a tight, focused crash with a fast decay suited to intricate rhythmic work. The 16" crash delivers a wider range of tones from short and punchy to full and washy. The 18" crash generates a huge, powerful crash with a lengthy sustain and complex overtones. Together, the three crashes have any musical style covered.
20" Ride Masters Subtlety and Power
Balancing definition and wash, the 20" ride cymbal handles the full gamut of riding styles. Played with sticks, the ride produces a clear, articulate ping with ample projection. Shoulder strokes and mallets unlock the ride's washier side for a crashing roar of overtones. The XSR 20" ride masters both subtlety and power, making it an ideal all-purpose cymbal for any kit.

The high hats, splash, 14" and 16" crashes all sound amazing. The tone of the 18" crash is awful and doesn't fit the rest of the set. The ride also leaves a lot to be desired. It isn't very clean. It will swell and start crashing as you're playing it, except the bell which sounds a little better. But the bell is so small its hard to hit consistently.

As a Semi--Professional Drummer, l'm very pleased with this purchase. Plus, they're just the right amount of cymbals l needed that came with the super pack. My core set-up indeed, wrapped up in one package, tonally matched. Perfect 👌!!!

I bought a used 19" XSR Crash…..and it is money well spent. The next time I need a cymbal pack…..The XSR line is going to be it. Beautiful sounding and looking.

The Sabian XSR cymbals are great for any drummer on a budget. I love the dark crash cymbals that are a little different from these; but these produce a great sound too. Worth the money.
nice set for the money
