Sabian Quiet Tone Practice Cymbals

Sabian Quiet Tone Practice Cymbals

SABIAN

Description

Created specifically for low volume sessions, Quiet Tone Practice Cymbal Set QTPC504 includes a full performance cymbal setup of 14” hi-hats, 16” crash, 18” crash and 20” ride. Each one is designed to respond and sustain like a traditional cymbal—right down to their clearly defined bell—so drummers won’t have to change the way they play. Their true-to-life response and sustain, and clear, natural-sounding bell means drummers won’t have to hit and play harder than they do during performances. This is not the case with other practice cymbals, which can sound muffled or dead, not a good quality in a practice cymbal. As a result, drummers will appreciate their greatly reduced sonic footprint during practice sessions, drum lessons or any time they use Quiet Tone Practice cymbals. Additionally, Quiet Tone Practice cymbals are manufactured from a tough, durable alloy that won’t dent or break, making them the best choice in low-volume cymbals.

These cymbals have a nice tone and have received compliments from the other musicians at practice; have played several quieter gigs (such as when people are eating dinner) will be using these on those types of gigs.quiet but expressive

The cymbals look pretty cool and the sound is definitely reduced. This is my first set of "quiet" cymbals so I have nothing to compare. They are quiet but they still manage to maintain a tone. The hi hat has a nice crispy "ch" sound to them. I'm very pleased so far.

  • I would tell anyone to buy these!

I was very skeptical about purchasing these. I feel I am a traditionalist and purist and I had a heck of a time convincing myself to take the plunge to get these. Man, was I pleasantly surprised! I have moon gels, Evans drum head mutes on my regular cymbals, but my bands practice room is rather small so, prior to getting these, I had to attempt to finesse and concentrate on hitting my cymbals lighter, which takes away from my practice and enjoyment of playing. These are unbelievable sounding. I wish Sabian made a China Quiet Tone. Maybe that's next. I HIGHLY recommend these. Very responsive. Sound FANTASTIC. So pleased with my purchase. Wow. I can practice at full strength! Thanks. John G.

Is there a difference between the 18" and 20" aside from the diameter. Is there something besides diameter that makes the practice 20" a "ride" and the 18" a "crash"?
