This is an amazing ride. I have always heard praises on the 21". This was on sale used on Guitarcenter.com for $109.00. Couldn't pass it up. I own a AAX 20" stage ride which is as versatile in it's own respect. I also own the 21" HH RBDR, which is awesome, but I am starting to lean more towards the AA Rock Ride. If you can get one used at a fair price, I would say snatch it up you won't be disappointed! Good for rock to Metal.
good,but it rings

This overall is a good crash. It has a nice ping sound to it and it has a nice cutting bell.It is very thick and heavy so it doesn't crash well. The only thing I would change on this ride is that it wouldn't ring.It would be perfect if it had a shorter sustain.
I own it!

Over all a great cymbal, and will cut through the mixes. The only thing I would change is a little faster decay, it rings a little much, but that is just me. Good sound recorded. GREAT CYMBAL!!

This is the nicest sounding ride I have ever played. I have had mine for about 10 years and it just keeps sounding better with age. It is perfect for many styles of music. Although it is technically a "Rock" ride, it also does the job for jazz, and lighter styles of music as well. It is not so loud, that it is drowning out your set, but it has enough presence that you can hear every hit. You can really lay into the bell and get a powerful sound when needed, or you can play closer to the edge of the cymbal for more mellow playing. If you know how to work the cymbal, you can use this for any style of music.

I have had this cymbal for 3 years now, and it is awesome. The stick definition is wonderful, and the bell cuts through nicely. I have used it with a jazz band, and it worked well in that setting too. However, if you play mostly jazz, you may want a cymbal with a little more wash than this one. Great cymbal.
