17" AA Holy China Brilliant

Description
Sabian is proud to offer the AA Holy China Brilliant 17" an innovative cymbal handcrafted from musical B20 bronze. Developed with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, this 17" Holy China delivers the trashy tone of the original China model at a lower volume. Its higher profile, wide lip and 51 holes combine to yield an explosive tone with increased volume, projection and sustain. The large raw bell provides a crisp, cutting sound, while the brilliant finish enhances clarity and articulation.
Unique Size and Hole Pattern For Unmatched Tone
The Sabian AA Holy China Brilliant 17" features a unique 17" size and 51 strategically placed holes to produce a trashy tone like no other. The holes increase projection and open up the sound, while reducing overall volume for a balanced trashy tone in any setting.
Higher Profile and Raw Bell For Power and Presence
A higher profile and wide lip give the AA Holy China Brilliant 17" a robust, powerful voice with enhanced presence. The large raw bell delivers a crisp attack and helps the cymbal cut through. Combined, these design elements make for an explosive cymbal with a commanding tone.
Handcrafted B20 Bronze Construction
Like all Sabian cymbals, the AA Holy China Brilliant 17" is handcrafted in Canada from B20 bronze, a proprietary alloy prized for its musicality, responsiveness and durability. B20 bronze provides the ideal combination of tonal qualities for a trashy yet musical cymbal.
Vintage-Inspired Design, Modern Tone
While inspired by vintage China cymbals, the AA Holy China Brilliant 17" delivers a modern, innovative tone all its own. Sabian developed this cymbal in collaboration with Chad Smith to provide a trashy, loud option for creative drummers. The end result is a highly versatile cymbal that produces a range of trashy sounds not found in any other cymbal.

Amazing Sound in this China, even at 17"

This China is great if you want a lot of sound, but don't want to buy the 19 or 21 inch models which are much louder. Basically, if you like your neighbors enough to not irritate them to death, this is a solid choice. It still cuts through and has just the right amount of sustain. Great choice if you're looking for a china that will give you that great trashy sound, but not so loud you'll shatter your neighbors eardrums! :)

This cymbal has drilled holes that makes this china to have quick decay it doesn't choke the sound but it is very loud and aggressive thank you Chad Smith.

I got this about a month ago because my local GC was out of the 19" Vault holy china, but now I'm glad I got this. Obviously the first thing I noticed about both this and the Vault was the bell, which gives this great diversity in being a china you can just ride on. The next thing I notice was that this cymbal is LOUD. It has a really sharp with a quick response and pretty short sustain, so the AA Holy is perfect for accents.

I was looking for a china cymbal that has the sound of a real china, not like the ones that are out now but something not normal unlike other china cymbals. I formally was a fan of Zildjian chinese cymbals starting from ZXT,Avedis Zildjian China Low, and Oriental China Trash. None of this cymbal product lines gave me the sound that I was looking for until last years new Sabian products which was the Holy China by Chad Smith. I recently tried out the 19"inch version which was nice but I wanted something a little smaller but the same profile. I just purchase the 17" inch and what can I say. It's awesome! I like the unqiue design of the cymbal kinda looks like the ozone crashes with the holes drill into them very unique, making it more louder and trasher with dirty bite. Very aggressive response very fast, and cutting. This is one of the best china cymbals i've ever played in my life. And thanks to Chad Smith my prayers have been answered.
