Had a KC550 before. I got older, tired of shlepping around the 75lb behemoth. Traded for this. Yes, 1/3 of the power, but about 1/3 of the weight, and seems to have all of the sound including all of the bass. Hey, it's a Roland! So I'm very happy.

  • Louder than KC60 !

I use this product for band practice and sometime in a small/medium size church venues. At first, i was skepitcal with just 50 watts power but did'nt regret after. Its strong bass, loud and high frequencies covers all the good ranges for my digital piano and Rhodes sounds even when competing with bass guitar drum and another solo guitarist. Again this with a small/medium size audience room probably 50 60 max! but at least...you still get the option of hooking up trough some PA system and use it as a monitor! I looked at that 50 watts Vox VX50KB keyboard amp and quiet curious how that little thing would fair ??

I would like to use this amp for both keyboard and guitar instead of lugging around 2 amps. Will this work ok with guitar?

I don't know what your applications are and how you need it to "work". The KC-80, as an amp, will work with a guitar.
