    I see that this converts and instrument to USB. Does it work the other way too? I have a microphone with a USB cable and am wondering if I can amplify that microphone with the 1/4" end going into an amplifier.

    I would like to use this cable for recording instruments through Garageband on a mac. I've heard some complaints about latency issues with other similar cables and I do not want to buy this and find that it has the same problem. Should I be concerned about latency problems with this cable?
