Not bad at the price

This mandolin arrived with no scrapes or scratches, and the finish is very nice. Has a good tone whether or not hooked up to an amp. The tailpiece cover kept falling off until I squeezed in the sides a tad with pliers. Additionally one of the A strings kept jumping out of the tailpiece slot. The slot is a round hole, the edge of which appeared to have been pulled a bit out of shape. I pressed the edge in with a flat screwdriver and haven't had a problem since. Minor problems and I doubt everyone will have the same experience. Overall, nice at the price.

I had problems with this product.

I had problems with this product. The mandolin was not brand new it was tampered with by someone at sometime. I called for a return and after re-packing and doing all the paperwork I found out it would cost me almost as much as the mandolin itself to return it. So I kept it unsatisfactorily

    Played guitar for years, never owned or played a mandolin until 3 weeks ago. Very happy with the looks and playability so far. I play it every day, it stays in tune well and seems to be put together well. I am having a good time playing it and would definitely recommend this a good starter instrument.

    This is a great beginner mandolin, only problin I could find is the actiuon won't go low enough unless some modifications need to be done to the bridge to drop down low enough!
