Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!!!
I bought this guitar because of the price mainly. My intent was to get an inexpensive guitar for practice to take with me when i travel in my tent trailer, and sit out on the back porch or in my garage while working around the house(something i would not be upset if it got a scratch or two on) while keeping my more expensive stuff safe in the house. I was Surprised at how nice it sounds, the feel, and the way it stays in tune. It suits the purpose i bought it for and then some. It is a much better guitar than i was expecting. Update: I have had it now for about 6 months and still just as happy with it as when i first got it. Cannot believe the value for the money. My grandaughter likes it too. She asked me to teach her some when she visits. Purchased another one today for her birthday.

It's a project right out of the box
I stopped at Guitar Center and picked up some Black Friday specials early. The San Marcos, California store had 6 Kohala painted ukes - 2 blue, 2 pink and 2 purple. I purchased the 2 blue ones. They are playable and tune up easilly. Steer clear of the Rogue Acoustic Guitar Pack, if you are not used to setting up and working on instruments. The saddle at the bridge is soft and so is the nut at the headstock. I will be replacing both. The strings are brittle. I snapped the E, A, D and G strings before they even got close to pitch. Since I stock up on guitar strings when they go on sale for about $2 bucks a set, I just put on a complete new set of strings. The intonation all the way up to the octave is fine and the action is about right, so I will shape the new saddle and nut similar. It came with a pitch pipe, picks, truss rod allen wrench and a chord chart. The gig bag is thin and provides minimal protection. This not the same quality of an instrument as the nicer Rogue D100 I own.

I got this when I started playing guitar about a year ago. It was affordable. It sounds great. Holds up well. Looks good. The starter sheets was really helpful. And I'm getting much better. I just wanna pick this thing up and play whenever I see it. Had to come back and give this 5 stars.

Good beginner-instrument to determine If the person truly is willing to put effort into playing. Sounds good with very little work. I added an electronic tuner as the gift. Tuning is important to development of the ear.
It's a decent for the money

Had one little problem. The high E 3rd fretted out But they give you a rod wrench. So I slowly loosened it like a 1/8 turn and nothing frets out. Remember towards you take tension off...Other than that it's sounds great. I play metal and this was a good bang around acoustic. And it sounds pretty good.
i would buy this product again.
