Rogue
Description

The RA-090 concert acoustic guitar is a meticulously crafted instrument ideal for guitarists seeking a resonant, full-bodied tone. Handmade from premium solid spruce and mahogany, this guitar produces warm, balanced sound with clear, ringing highs and rich lows. The RA-090's compact concert body provides focused, articulate sound perfect for solo performance or accompaniment. Its slim mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard enable effortless playability and chord changes. Gold die-cast tuners keep the RA-090 in tune through extended practice or performance. The RA-090 offers exceptional quality, tone and playability for aspiring and experienced acoustic guitarists alike.

Solid Spruce Top and Mahogany Back Produce Rich, Nuanced Tone

The RA-090's solid spruce top, and mahogany back and sides, provide the resonant, balanced tone sought after by discerning acoustic guitarists. Spruce is a lightweight, responsive tonewood that produces crisp highs, warm midrange and tight low end. The mahogany back reinforces the midrange while adding depth and richness. Together, these tonewoods generate the RA-090's full, articulate voice, perfect for a wide range of musical styles.

Slim Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard Enable Fluid Playability

The RA-090's slim mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard facilitate smooth, comfortable playability for guitarists of all experience levels. The neck's slim profile enables effortless fretting and chord changes. Rosewood, a dense, oily wood, provides a smooth fingerboard surface for fluid playability up and down the neck. A 12" radius and jumbo frets make higher fret access and complex chords/solos easily achievable.

Concert Body Produces Focused, Balanced Tone

The RA-090 features a concert body shape that generates focused, balanced tone perfect for solo performance or accompaniment. At approximately 15" wide, the concert body produces midrange-centric sound with clear highs and controlled lows. The concert body's tonal balance and comfortable size make the RA-090 an ideal instrument for developing acoustic guitarists.

Premium Components for Rock-Solid Performance

The RA-090 includes premium components for exceptional performance and longevity. Gold die-cast tuners provide precise, slip-free tuning. A rosewood bridge and saddle produce full, resonant tone. Dovetail neck joint, herringbone rosette and wood binding demonstrate the care and craftsmanship that went into creating this guitar. All told, the RA-090 concert acoustic guitar offers features and components prized by beginning and experienced acoustic guitarists alike.

comfortable platform, better than anticipated!

Purchased on a whim due to great sale price and wanting a more comfortable concert size model. New strings went on right away-Ernie phosphor bronze 12's- next time I'm going with 11's-Anyone will want new strings from the start!!. Since the sides of all models were painted black I decided to go with the black top -A great choice, it looks sharp! The bridge is plastic instead of wood, which is disappointing. I decided if the guitar was a keeper, and it is, I was going to upgrade a few things, primarily cosmetic, to personalize/customize. So I will get abalone dot bridge pins, gold tuners (original are fine though) a white pearloid pickguard and install a Fishman active eq to plug in. I will lower the saddle a bit as i like closer action-its not bad at the nut though. If we are playing laminated tops, I personally like the tone of the whitewood top better than spruce or mahogany laminate tops- It vibrates quite well- It even sounds better than some solid tops I have owned and played. This is great for under $80 shipped. With a few upgrades and the tweaking all guitarists need to do to customize their instrument for them, It's all good! It is also a fine instrument as is, with new strings of course!

Purchased this guitar for my son as he is interested in learning how to play. This is a great purchase for beginners. The strings were worn out but I assume it's because the guitar has been sitting for awhile. Either way, it will allow my son to learn how to replace the strings.

  • Great guitar for the money

Have owned mine 4 years, holding up pretty well, watch for loosening fret bars, slight buzzing upper fret, neck adjustment eliminate it. Bottom line, it plays pretty well!

  • Not bad but not good!

The guitar was ehh, first the shipping quality it came in was absolutely terrible, it came in a box that wasn't taped together so just a open box, the guitar had nothing but this cheap foam cover it came looking used, almost like it was a display that they packed up terribly in a box and sent it out!!!! the fretboard was dryer than your mom, the guitar looked somewhat used and yellowed. The frets themselves are sharp and the string quality is meh. For the price it's not bad but there are waaayy better ones for a little more that you could buy.

This RA 090 concert guitar is great for the money. It actually sounds better than my Fender FA 135 acoustic electric which I bought for $335. The sustain of this guitar is long and it has enough bass to make a deep sound. It will never be as deep, bassy, or loud as a dreadnought but it's good enough to jam with freinds. It's much easier to play than my Washburn dreadnought because it has a smaller body. Not sure what strings it came with but I suspect it's 80/20 bronze probably 11 to 52 gauge. I bought the black one, which is pretty plain and boring but the sound is what's important. I read complaints about the sharp frets, but mine were smooth. I tested all the strings all the way to the 12th fret--no buzz whatsoever.
