This RRMELP is a molded guitar case from Road Runner perfectly fit for a carved-top single-cutaway guitar. Its riveted latch closures are designed to take years of abuse, and its rugged feet provide various standup options. Inside, your instrument will lay in a lap of non-scratch, plush-lined luxury. Fits Gibson Les Paul Juniors and Les Paul Specials

I bought this case 10 years ago to fit a Gibson Les Paul Junior, it was the right case to buy. Ten years later I bought this case, once again to fit a 2019 Gibson Les Paul Tribute Doublecut, it also fit that guitar. The same dimensions width and lengthwise were required for a Gibson Les Paul Special, I set one down inside in the case on the couch at home and it fit inside this case. Suddenly, I ll need another one of these exact Roadrunner cases. These cases fit the dimensions of Les Paul Specials and Juniors. The interior of this particular case is shallow, a deeper/taller Les Paul like a Studio or Standard model has a bowed underside and an arched top as opposed to a slab bodied junior and Special Les Paul guitar shape; which is the type of Les Paul guitar body that best fits this case. The covering of this case isnt tolex, since 2009 my old case from 10 years ago looks as good as my new case that Ive had inly since July of 2019- with no tears or scratches. The chrome latches have no surface rust forming on them. 6 latches with hoops secure the lid to the case. It has been outside in the rain and the fabric inside didnt get wet. If you have a Les Paul Junior, Special or Melody Maker, dont pass this case up. I am currently paying off a Gibson Special from zzounds, I will need to buy this case a 3rd time because its seriously that dependable. If only it had a bigger storage compartment to store an 18 foot guitar cable in along with the tuner, strap, extra set of strings, guitar polish cloth and small string cutters , 2 to 3 prong electrical adapter and extra tuner battery I manage to cram inside

Toxic chemical smell

Purchased this case to go along with a 'first' electric guitar/amp for my grandson's birthday. When I picked the items up at the store, I noticed a chemical smell---thought it was just a 'new item' smell. I was way wrong. When my grandson came over for his birthday party, he popped open the case---and the room filled with a strong toxic chemical smell---who knows what caused the odor that was outgassing from the inside of the case??? Glue? Waste plastic recycled into this item? Pesticides? All of the above? The smell caused everyone in the room to gag, watery eyes, sneezing, itching skin, etc. The odor had even gotten into the Epiphone Les Paul guitar---what was to be a gift turned into a big disappointment. I put the open case in my garage for a week with no success---it still reeks and causes skin irritation/watery eyes. I'm going to take the case back for a refund and really check out any replacements. (Do an internet check on 'toxic plastic from China'---lots of products with this problem. I purchased a beginner set of harmonicas over two years ago and had the same problem---the chemical odor never went away and I tossed the harmonicas,)

    So long story short one guitar center made up for the mistake of another guitar case is nice . Sturdy have no worries when it's inside of this very nice just has an odd. Chemical smell .

    The quality of the case impressed me. I ordered this guitar case for an Epiphone Les Paul Slash model which I bought used from Guitar Center. It did not include the original case so I got this case instead. I definitively was disappointed with not having the original case but this case is pretty nice too!

    Now before I begin, I want to start by saying I had received the case in a guitar trade. But I will be buying a new one as this case is not only a great case but a great fit for my Les Paul. But after being run over by accident from my friend's pickup truck. My guitar was safe!
