Polytone Clip On Tuner

Just purchased from seeing video reviews. Very nice and accurate tuner. Also has strobe for more accuracy ? It does a very quick tuning and has a great bright display. Only complaint is that it is a little difficult to tilt for optimum viewing. Very solid build, but also very small and should come with a case, or something attached to fasten to. Easy to lose because of size.

Nice Tuner If You Can Afford The Batteries

I purchased this tuner from Guitar Center mainly because the clip works with a Traveler Guitar that I own. The Traveler Guitar has no head stock so the shape and size of the clip is critical. In general, I am very happy with the function of the tuner. I use the poly tune capability has a final check to verify all strings are in tune so that is a bonus. Since the tuner has an LED array rather than an LCD display I expected it to be a battery drainer and decided to accept that when I bought it. That decision is now wearing on me. I use the tuner once or twice a day to tune a guitar and I have to replace the battery every 5 to 7 days depending on battery brand. I now have a pile of 30+ dead batteries I need to dispose of that cost about as much as the tuner. What I have discovered is that the tuner will drain batteries even when not being used which is a disappointment. I tried to submit a question to TC Electronic Technical Support but the support submission link appears to be broken. Maybe I have a defective tuner but I am fed up with it.

I use it to tune the guitar. I had a Peterson SroboClip that broke. This one replaces it. I believe the TC Electronic design is better and does not sit on a little plastic shaft that can snap easily. The Polytune is relatively new to me but so far so good! It seems well made and is easy to use.

  • Accuate and true. I actually have three. I don't want to be

This one should do the trick. Most tuners on the market will work for what you need it for.
