I've had this head for about eight months now. I've played well over 12 shows with it and even lent it out a couple of times! It has kept up with touring, people treating it wrong and lots of use. I play in a band that requires alot of blastbeats and breakdowns and this amp has held true! We play in dropped-B and it has never given out in any way, oh by the way my cab is a slanted line 6 with celestion speakers. I would recommend it to any artist on a budget just not with the cheapy crate cab, the celestion cab sounds great on it though, use the money you saved for a better cab. I have also used to record our 7 song demo and will use it for the next one! Overall it's been a great, reliable head.

I played this for a while in the store today, using a Schecter C-1+. Not the best guitar ever (Duncan Designed suck) but pretty decent. The amp is really impressive for the price. It does high gain well, and cleans are pretty good too. I can't say I was too fond of the mid-gain stuff; don't expect tube crunch. but when you need all out screaming high gain madness, or straight up cleans, you're good to go here. The distortion is pretty brutal; not harsh exactly, but it's not exactly "warm tubes". Look, it's no Peavey 6505+ or anything, but I really enjoyed playing it. If you're looking for a budget head and don't need mid gain crunch, this thing is awesome. One word of advice though; play any amp before you buy it.

I took this head to a gig less than an hour after I bought it, I hadn't even plugged it in until I got onstage! Talk about having faith in a product! This is my 3rd Crate amp and it's just as amazing as the others. I strongly recommend this head, especially to touring musicians. It will take a beating and never say die! Awesome analog reverb, great tone for almost any style. Tons of power for the price, looks like Crate has done it again.

I'm impressed with this head. It's clean is super clear and the distortion is amazing. the footswitch coming with it is also another plus. listening to the head at guitar center while playing was a no brainer when it came to buying it. I'd strongly recommend this head to anyone who loves distortion and clear cleans.

This amp really blew me away with its value. At first glance the amplfier may LOOK cheap and dull sounding. However do NOT be fooled by this amp it is well capable of awsome sounds and very nice distorsion. The amps 3 channels are really good. Obviously it aint no tube amp but the distorsions are very nice and the cleans are crystal clear. The rythm channel is excellent for light distorsion and bluesy sounds. The solo channel can go from a low gain rythm to full blown madness. The shape control may look wierd at first but you soon realize that it is linked to the EQ on the rythm channel which is very nice. The reverb is very nice as well. Overall this amp is awsome both in the studio and live and it will not let you down.
