this is a great amp. i've had soe fun times with it, i mean come on, i'm 12 years old and having a 120watt amp is great but i just bought a much better 120 crate amp for a lot less money. it's the crate gt212 120watt combo amp. it's a twin reverb twin for $200 and what an amp. it's like i said twin reverb but it's also a really big amp witch i know dosn't make it better but when on stage it makes people like you more they think your really the man because you have the money do get the big stuff. great amp but get the one i'm telling you about

I've had this amp for just over four months now, and I have to say it's a pretty solid amp. I play a strat on it, and it gives a real good sound. Features: With three channels and 16 effects, you can do a lot of tweaking with your sound. However, when it says 16 effects, it doesn't mean 16 different pedal quality effects, but the reverb is extremely good, the delay is solid, and the others are fun to "tinker" with. The red lights are extremely useful at gigs when its dark and you need to do some tweaking. At first I didn't think I'd use the built in tuner much, but it works so well, and is so easy I use it every time I play. Quality: No parts have failed on me yet, and they've all worked beautifully. The speakers have a good sound, and the three channels can all be easily tweaked in a number of different ways. If you play rock, you probably won't use the rhythm channel much because it just lacks depth. I've done a lot of tweaking with it, and it isn't the best for rockin hard (and I'm not talkin metal, I'm talkin regular rock). The solo channel, however, is very good, although when playing riffs while more than one string is vibrating, there is a lot of undesirable buzzing, but that's my only complaint. Value: I got this amp on sale, so I really got a good deal, but considering how much sound this amp puts out, its a good buy even at the regular price. I wouldn't recommend this amp if you want to upgrade to get high quality sound, because it just won't put it out. But if you want a lot of solid sound without shelling out over a grand for a tube amp, this is the amp for you. The only major gripe I have about the amp is that, like all Crates, there is no line out, so if you're playing for a small gig, you'll be fine, but if you're playing in a band like I do for over 100 people, you'll probably need to mic your amp. There is an "extension speaker" output, so if you can't mike your amp, you can use that, but if you turn up your volume too high, the sound gets really muddy. When I use the extension output, I keep the amp volume low and crank the volume on the soundboard and it sounds OK. Overall, this is a great amp for beginners or intermediate players wanting something that can handle small gigs, or even big shows.

This is a great combo amp for the price!!! I used this just for only like 10 minutes and I was sold. It has good volume and you can get a pretty good tone out of it for a Crate amp. I would get this again if it broke down on me. Freakin awesome amp.

I just started testing out Crate amps, and I am falling in love. I tested out this amp at GuitarCenter today, and love it. The 3 channels all sound great. The effects are wonderful as well. I love the distortion on this amp, it is a natural distortion so not choppy and crunchy. Love the sounds and effects produced by the amp. Great buy!

My friend owns this amp so I've used it many times. Crate gives a 5 year warranty (i think) so theres nothing to worry about with quality. Theyre amps are always strongly built and reliable. The sound is pretty good, what you would expect and it gives some pretty heavy distotion as well as nice clean sounds. Also has a few effects. 3 channels make it very versatile.
