Best Bang for the Buck!
I had pretty much convinced myself to pick up a Yamaha P85, until I saw the review of the Privia PX-130 in Keyboard. I was sold on this piano based on the review alone... but I dialed around and found the piano at GC San Jose. Tried it out... no brainer. The piano action was excellent, the sound was top notch, the weight didn't require me to wear a back brace, the size is compact enough to fit in my trunk together with my amps and another keyboard... and... the price tag was way easy on my wallet. Really... the piano plays superbly. Very natural feel, which is exactly what I wanted. My Nord Electro is a great B3 simulator, but it doesn't feel like a piano. The piano sound is very full and realistic, and compliments my Nord beautifully. Other decent sounds... pretty good Wurli, not bad Rhodes, nice vibes and a really useful strings patch, which can be layered with the piano. Limitations?... a couple... only 1/8" mini jacks for the outputs. I picked up an adaptor for under $10 and I'm good to go. I wish it had standard MIDI Ins n' Outs. It has USB, so that would require an adaptor too. I did knock my rating from 5 stars to 4 because of these things. But anyway... I have no buyer's remorse whatsoever. I really love this keyboard, and at only 26 pounds, I can have a fully weighted piano at my gigs!

Really bad experience. Only one good thing, the customer center representative was nice and helpfull.

Great, Long Lasting Keyboard

I got this keyboard when I was in high school (2006 or 2007) to practice vocal music and piano music on. 5 - 6 years later I am still playing it and everything is the same as it was when I first got it. The only problem overtime was the speakers. They can blow out easily, so don't turn the volume up all the way every time you play it. If you need more sound there are 1/4 inputs in the back to plug into a keyboard amp and 1/8 inch inputs on the side meant for headphones. I don't know if this is updated or not, but be warned, my Casio is not compatible with MAC! Only for PC. But, that may have changed, ask a sales rep.

Excellent Keyboard - Realistic Piano Feel & Sound - Extremely Happy!!

I was very hesitant about purchasing a keyboard for the simple fact that I love the feel and sound of a piano. However, I needed something that was portable and pianos are just not suited for much movement. I researched this very heavily and felt fairly confident in my decision on the Cascio Privia PX130. It has exceeded my expections in every way. The weighted keys feel just like a regular piano and the sound is absolutely beautiful - the best I've heard from a keyboard. I actually don't feel like I'm playing a keyboard. I have recommended this model to many other people and feel confident that you will not regret your decision to purchase this keyboard! "The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him." Psalm 28:7

i always played on a korg pa800 which i love but my piano teacher told me to buy a full sized piano to practice just piano without all the fancy gizmos. I cheked out a few in the store and this one was just great and won't burn a hole through your pockets. It's got amazing feel and a wondeful rich piano sound. The only thing im not satisfied is the sound of the strings which can give you a bit of a head ace, otherwise a really great deal
Close your eyes and play for a bit. When you open them you'll be surprised it's a keyboard..

I played piano for 15 years throughout my childhood before getting involved in a school sponsored jazz group. I then began writing my own music. I lost touch with the instrument when I graduated high school and went into the military. Many years later here I am looking to get reacquainted with my love for music. I came across a mint Casio PX130 at a used instrument store and picked it up at a bargain price. Not only does it feel and play like a quality upright but it looks good too. No tuning necessary, no neon displays, no flashing lights, etc. It's an instrument that looks presentable permanently set up in a living room rather than having to slide it under your bed when not in use. Great buy....even if you're purchasing it at retail price!

I got this keyboard because I really wanted to upgrade from my smaller casio keyboard without any real feel technology. I really enjoy the piano sounds that come with the piano and it does sound good on stage. You have two headphone outputs that allow you to teach a student which is nice but you can also use one of the jacks are an output for the mixer. Works great like that. I really enjoy having a keyboard that is also a midi controller for logic 9 recording software. All in all if you are looking for a good sounding keyboard go with this one. I had my eyes on the cdp100 and I played this one and the action felt so much better.
