Remo

collapse expand iconDescription

This drum head pack gives you a set a 10", 12", 14" and 16" Clear Pinstripe drum heads. The Remo Clear Pinstripe heads are made with two 7-mil Mylar plies, and have quick decay, making them ideal heads for the "fat" sounds of pop, rock and R&B, and for those who want a low-pitched sound with moderate attack and response characteristics. A measured layer of a ring reducing agent was applied between the two 7-mil Mylar plies that dampens high-frequency overtones for warmer resonance. The Remo Pinstripe tom drum heads are the result of continuing refinement and improvement in Remo drum head materials and manufacturing methods.

As a drum head specialist for over 50 years, Remo has developed an incredibly wide variety of replacement drum heads to fit every drumming application. Not only is a full selection of Remo tom heads available to meet the diverse needs of drum set players in country, jazz, rock, pop, R&B, hip-hop, Latin and every other style, Remo replacement drum heads also bring advanced technologies and exceptional performance capabilities to the specialized needs to players in the marching, concert and world percussion areas. With so many types, weights and sizes available, Remo offers a wide selection of top-end accessories and pieces for the demanding drummer.

Listensing to the heads after recording a couple of tunes, I definitely like the recorded sound of my new Remo pinstripes. There is a significant difference in the sound versus the Evans U2 heads that I had on my 12" 14" and especially on my 16" Ludwig Classic Maple drums. The 16" was incredibly deep in pitch and did not sound distorted on my recordings - the Evans 16" head was audibly distorted on record playback. Remarkable difference.

honestly I have tried other brands but I have always stuck with Remo. You cant go wrong, they have a nice crisp clean sound to them. I bought a DW set which came with these and the sound simply amazed me so I decided to stay with REMO

While there may be different opinions on who sounds the best (subjective). No one can question how easy and accurate these heads tune up! Mileage may vary on them but hey I don't need to hit them so hard either! They hold up pretty well but after using other brands these are BY FAR the easiest to get going. A good thing to remember if you have a gig in a half an hour!
