    Haven't been able to compare brands but, for a big deep sound on a 26" maple drum, it sounds great! It durable also! Change it every six months!

    great replacement head for the $$$$. ya never know when you're gonna need it. keep a spare just in case. this one sounds GREAT if you kick it hard. I put on a vinyl double patch....still sounds great and I kick HARD...now, no more worries. thanks for a great deal GC. you know I'll be back!!!

    I bought this head about a week ago (22in) and I must say, I love it! Tuning is quite simple as it is very forgiving. It has a nice sound, and a great rebound. The coating stays and doesn't wear fast. It works great in funk beats, all the way to double bass heavy metal. Actually it works in just about anything. I completely recommend this product.
