I've looked at and purchased many different drum sticks to use with my various multi- and individual pads. I chose the Jazz nylon model, and so far, these suit me the best over other brands or mat'ls. So much so that I think these are "it". The "e-tip" reacts very naturally against my rubber pads. These are thin sticks, which turned out to create fantastic rebound off rubber. One more really important thing for me is the Regal brand "taper" which again for me works very well for a natural rebound with excellent balance. (Typically I play 5A, 5B for practice or jamming.). My feeling is that if you are happy with a particular size or weight drumstick, try to find it with this "e-tip" for your electronic kit. But I prefer lighter sticks for that job. I don't take anything away from the others I tried, but FYI I tried Zildjian's Anti-Vibe e-stick, also advertised for e-drums. For me they're too heavy for that, but I LOVE them on my acoustic drums! Serendipity. They have a nice little round wood tip and the anti vibe is comfortable. Before that I used thin, Vater, permanent blacks with wood tips. They were good on the rubber but murder on my hands! And of course I've used my standard wood or nylon tip sticks, but I strongly recommend the combination of this unique tip, taper, length and weight. Enjoy!
